BigWays Over Skydive Burnaby - Formation Skydiving Events

Skydive Burnaby has hosted a number of formation skydiving events, called 'Big Ways' and has held the national record for Largest Skydive, Largest Women's Skydive, largest formation for Parachutists Over Phorty (P.O.P.S) and Largest Vertical Formation (flying inverted / head-down).

Formation Skydiving

Formation Skydiving (formerly known as 'Relative Work') is an ever progressing element of the sport.

It all starts when two jumpers fly relative to each other and 'link up' in freefall and create a formation.

Beginning jumpers hone their skills with smaller formations, 2-Ways (two jumpers), 3-Ways (three jumpers), 4-Ways (four jumpers) and gradually work up to larger formations.
