April 2010 Events at Skydive Burnaby

• April 17 : Annual Safety Day - Come to the DZ and work that Canadian winter out of your system. The all important refresher courses and simple time with your friends.

Get ready for the 2010 season.

• April 24 : Big Bird Arrives! The Twin Otter arrives for the season. Come out and welcome our treasure as it gets ready for you 'crazy skydivers'!

May 2010 Events at Skydive Burnaby

• May 21 - 24 : Coach II Course Registration is required by May 7th at the latest.

• July 1-4 : Canada Day Boogie - 4 Way meet - 8 Way meet - Swooping - Organizers - Nightly Entertainment - Good food, great jumps and did we mention... BEER!

• July 17 : Freefly Scrambles and the Infamous 'Pimp-N-Ho Party'

• July 24-25 : Discount Weekend #2 - Jump more and Save more!

• July 30 : PD Canopy Course Pt. 1 - 'Essentials' - Rain or shine. The theory behind safe and intelligent canopy flight with Doug Forth. 8 AM until sunset. Course consists of 5 jumps with individual debriefs and theory lessons between jumps. This course is required if you're intending on attending the August 2nd 'Advanced' course. Contact Tara for more information and pre-registration.

• August 2 : PD Canopy Course Pt. 2 - 'Advanced' - This continuation course will expand on the 'Essentials' learned in the the first course. Doug Forth will, again, bring knowledge and insight to your safe and controlled parachute training. Contact Tara for more information and pre-registration.

• August 7-8 : FS Fun Meet Weekend - Continue to tune up your 4 Way and 8 Way skills with this mini-meet.

• October 10 : Thanks-4-Givin'er - Thanksgiving Pot-Luck diner. One more discount jumps weekend.

• October 30-31 : Halloween Weekend - Design a 'FreeFall Friendly Costume' and get some in air photos taken to share with the world.

Saturday Night : Halloween Party - Prizes for best costume!

November 2010 Events from Skydive Burnaby

• November 20 : The Annual Skydive Burnaby Year End Party. Videos, photos and generally a great night of fun looking back on the 2010 season.
